BALTIMORE BASED PAW POWER, INC. TO LAUNCH A NEW LINE OF SAFETY DOG COLLARS IN FEBRUARY 2017
MODELS, SEARCHLIGHT AND ROVER, BELIEVE TO OUTSHINE COMPITITERS WITH ADVANCED FEATURES
Baltimore, MD, Feb. 16, 2017- Paw Power, Inc, will be introducing a new line of illuminated safety collars for dog, Searchlight and Rover, on February 20. The former is a basic illumination package whereas the latter has a GPS chip and a video camera in addition to the Searchlight features. The videos captured by the camera, through a dog’s point of view, can be played back and uploaded to social media sites.
The one size fits all collar design uses EL (electroluminescent lighting) technology which operates at a low temperature and is up to 97% more efficient than conventional incandescent light sources. Collars come in flashing and non-flashing models and in a wide range of base colors. They feature space age-polymers, which result in a product that is light in weight, weather resistant, and practically indestructible. The collar light has a life span of 10,000 hours with brilliant blue light pulses that can be seen from 360° to 1/4 mile away at night. They are ideal for walking, camping, running, hunting, and cycling. The MSRP for Searchlight is $42 whereas Rover is $135; both can be purchased through major pet supply retailers.
The company has created a highly successful series of new products in the past (Easy Dog Recliner). “Paw Power’s new dog collars will make an important contribution to both pet and human safety,” said Paw Power President Ima Barker. “Plus, the video feature in the Rover model helps dog lovers bond even more closely with their pets,” Barker added.
Ima Barker has emerged as one of the most dynamic entrepreneurs in the personal services and pet care industries helping to improve the lives of dogs and their owners throughout the world. This is a fitting career for the granddaughter of actor Lex Barker (Tarzan). She received her undergraduate degree in Digital Communications from University of Baltimore and MBA from Harvard University. She had even served as a White House Fellow.
Paw Power, Inc. is a privately held specialty pet care company founded by Ima Barker in 2008 at Baltimore, MD. Offices are in the Tide Point complex in Baltimore’s historic Locust Point neighborhood. The company has 10 employees, and all fabrication is done here in Maryland.
